Everyone will at some time or another, learn a foreign language whether it is forced upon them or be it of their own choosing.Back at school most of us were made to learn at least one foreign language which was usually French or German. In this day and age, it is far easier and much more enjoyable to learn a foreign language. Some languages are easier to learn than others. Thai, for instance has no plurals, no ’articles’ i.e. ‘a’, ‘an’ or ‘the’ and is a tonal language - where one word has several different meanings depending upon how you pronounce it!! If you point at something and pronounce the right word in the wrong way, you won’t be understood even though it is obvious to you!!
Many of those learning a foreign language usually plan on on moving to their desired country to teach the language they have studied for years.
